Though I did some work in July on these a lot of work was done progressively over the last 16 months

Foils

I bought in to use the moulds Scott got made for 34 (Machete). Goal was to have super stiff boards so I put in 3 layers of 600 carbon uni on the inside of the skin (95gsm glass & 220 gsm Dbl bias car) & an inner skin of 220 gsm dbl bias car. The core I did with 3 layers of 3mm corecel M80 & torcher boarded the edges flat whilst in the mould (ground the bulk off with a flapper disc first). Then I cut in a compression strip recess for strips of 3mm ply. Mixed up resin & filler & clamped together.

Carriage

The idea was to get a carriage I could use as a plug if it turns out successfully. The prototype I built using 3 different moulds I pressed & clamped, with 2 parts for each end. The seat retaining lips I will initially bolt on so I can make a mould of the entire carriage without the lips. All up it is 2.4 KG for the prototype, I used 3mm ply as a core & over built the main trunk box so i could probably get it down to 1.75 -2 kg if I pull a mould off the prototype carriag.
